Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Universal I/O website or products (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Service description
Universal I/O is currently offered as an early-access product. Features and availability may change during this period.
3. Free and paid plans
The Service offers a plan available at no charge and paid plans billed monthly. The features and the monthly usage limit of each plan are determined by the configuration we maintain, and are shown in the app and on this website.
4. Fees and payment
Fees for paid plans are shown tax-included on the checkout screen. Payment is made by credit card and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not retain credit card numbers. The first period is charged at signup, and each subsequent billing period is charged in turn.
5. Automatic renewal and cancellation
A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time from billing management in the app, and you keep access to the paid plan until the end of the current billing period. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for cancellation mid-period. To delete your account, any active paid subscription must be cancelled first.
6. Failed payments
If a payment does not complete — for example because a card has expired — our payment processor retries it over a period of time. We keep your paid plan available to you during those retries. If the retries are exhausted and the subscription ends, the account moves to the free plan.
7. Usage limits
Each plan has a monthly limit on the number of requests. The limit is counted and reset by calendar month (from the first day of the month, Coordinated Universal Time), which does not align with the start of your billing period. Once the limit is reached, the affected features are unavailable until the next month begins. We may raise limits at any time; we will give notice before lowering one.
8. Price changes
We may change our prices. A new price applies to new signups; existing paid subscriptions keep the price in effect when they started unless we give separate notice.
9. Refunds
Fees already paid are not refundable, except where a refund is required by law.
10. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Service.
11. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, and software that are part of the Service are the property of Universal I/O or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws.
12. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. The Service includes output produced by AI models, the accuracy of which is not guaranteed. How you use that output is your own decision.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Universal I/O shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
